My email was rejected, and in the email it said "550 Access denied". I want to send email!
The 550 error is most likely to occur when a hosting company decides to fight SPAM using a tactic called, gray listing. What this is, is the other mail server is blocking the first connection from an recognized domain name or IP address of my mail server. This will stop the majority of SPAM as it is sent from mobile mail servers and it only gets 1 burst per IP. If the server were to get an another email with the same content again in a set amount if time it will white list the domain or IP and you will be able to send emails not problem to that server.
I have my server set to try again in 15 minutes of being if it get a 550 error. This is good for most servers. How ever some companies are higher target, and they have tighter settings. The way around this is if you get an email back with a 550 error on it you just send the email out again.
NOTE: The other server set the amount if times it must receive the email, and the time limit which witch it must be sent. Most is twice in 20 minutes. But some times it is tighter. And you may have to manually send the email more then twice. this is out of my control.
If this gray listing process sounds like something you would like to use on your server. you can go to yourdomain.com/webmail. Enter your User Name(full email address) and password and click on the icon that is called "SPAM box trapper"
